About the role

M.E.I. Consultants Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Site Civil Engineer to join our team on a contract basis in Johor
.
As Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and ensuring the quality and safety of our construction projects, contributing to the successful delivery of our client's objectives.

What you'll be doing

  • Conducting regular site inspections to monitor construction progress and quality
  • Identifying and addressing non-conformities or defects promptly
  • Coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, and project managers to resolve issues
  • Maintaining accurate records of site activities, inspections, and quality control measures
  • Ensuring compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards
  • Providing technical guidance and support to the construction team
  • Collaborating with the project management team to address and mitigate risks

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil, Structural Engineering (or related field)
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as an Inspector of Works or in a similar construction role
  • One (1) vacancy available
  • Immediate starters are highly preferred
  • Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) as Inspector of Works (IOW)
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Keen attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively
