Security Network Operations Center (SNOC) Specialist

Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Reporting Line

  2. Report directly to the assigned Team Lead and/or Manager, and provide timely updates on operational matters and escalations.

  3. Infrastructure & Application Monitoring

  4. Provide 24/7 continuous monitoring and management of customer infrastructure, applications, and helpdesk tickets, ensuring service availability and quick resolution of issues.

  5. Incident Handling & Escalation

  6. Monitor alerts in real-time, analyze and identify root causes, perform prompt resolutions, and escalate issues according to predefined escalation standards and service-level agreements (SLAs).

  7. Incident Documentation

  8. Accurately document all incidents, proactive alerts, and resolutions into the call tracking system and incident log, ensuring entries are detailed, clear, and compliant with defined standards.

  9. Customer Service & Service Management

  10. Maintain high standards of customer service, professionalism, and adherence to IT service management principles (ITIL or equivalent frameworks).

  11. System & Security Checks

  12. Conduct incident first-response checks, scheduled monthly IT system checks, and health checks and updates if required — including but not limited to antivirus updates, endpoint security status, and malware alert investigations.

  13. Server, Network & Directory Management

  14. Manage and maintain Active Directory accounts, file/folder permissions, and Network and Server configurations to ensure optimal security and performance.

  15. SNOC Alert Response

  16. Respond immediately to all SNOC alerts, carrying out rectification works in accordance with SOP guidelines, and ensuring minimal downtime or disruption to services.

  17. Ad-hoc Responsibilities

  18. Perform other ad-hoc duties or special assignments as directed by the Company, Team Lead, or Manager, which may include project support, process improvement tasks, or technical assistance to other teams.
