Key Responsibilities:1. Production Planning & Control

  • Plan, organize, and oversee production schedules in line with customer orders and project timelines.
  • Coordinate with Planning, Procurement, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Monitor daily output, productivity, and material usage against targets.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.

2. Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Enforce quality standards (ISO/TS 16949, IATF 16949, ISO 9001) and ensure compliance with OEM requirements.
  • Work closely with the Quality Department to identify and resolve production defects or non-conformances.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to maintain consistent product quality.

3. Process Improvement & Efficiency

  • Lead Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives to improve workflow and reduce waste.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Introduce automation or digital tools where feasible to enhance production performance.

4. People Management

  • Lead, train, and motivate a team of supervisors, line leaders, and operators.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and develop training plans to upgrade staff skills.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

5. Safety & Environment

  • Ensure full compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Promote safe working practices and lead incident investigations when necessary.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and housekeeping checks.

6. Cost Control & Reporting

  • Manage production costs and ensure optimal use of resources.
  • Prepare and analyze production reports (OEE, downtime, yield, and scrap rates).
  • Support budgeting and cost-saving initiatives.

7. Coordination & Communication

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and HR to support overall operational goals.
  • Participate in new model launch readiness, product trials, and engineering change implementations.
  • Attend management review meetings and provide updates on production performance.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Manufacturing / Automotive Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in production management, preferably in the automotive or component manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (additional languages are an advantage).
  • Proficient in MS Office and production management systems (ERP / MES).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3, RM10,000.00 per month
