1. PURPOSE
As the People Business Partner, you will be a strategic trusted advisor through providing confidential generalist HR services in-line with the employee lifecycle. This role is the custodian of People Policies ensuring consistent application across the business, increasing trust and fairness in line with The Detmold Way.
The People Business Partner will work closely to support stakeholders on day-to-day operational matters whilst maintaining momentum on allocated projects that contribute to the implementation of the Detmold People strategy.
You will work with leaders, providing coaching and support to enable the delivery of the business strategy through high performing teams.
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provide sound advice in line with the Policies and Procedures, local employment legislation and employment terms and conditions.
* Support leaders with coaching conversations to improve individual performance and foster a high-performance team culture.
* Provide guidance on talent management strategies that support workforce planning, succession planning and career development.
* Partner with leaders and managers to provide timely and accurate advice on People queries throughout the employee lifecycle.
* Management of disciplinary and grievance matters within client group and escalating where appropriate.
* Maintain business literacy to inform the implementation of People projects .
* Manage the Talent Acquisition process, working with Leaders to the attract the right talent.
* Work with external providers for payroll processing accuracy and compliance.
* Work closely with the Shared Services teams to support accurately and timely People transactions including, onboarding, offboarding and changes to employment terms and conditions.
* Support leaders in implementation of approved organisational design changes, including timely and accurate actioning of changes within People systems and processes.
* Analyse and report on People Data to inform the business, including identifying trends, providing insights and recommendations to drive positive business outcomes.
* By partnering with the business, provide insight and advice to inform future People Strategy and continuous improvement actions that streamline People Processes improving both the leader and employee experience.
Requirements:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Human Resource Management, Business or a related field and/or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience applying local labour legislation for South Asia.
- Demonstrated experience in the implementation of strategic people initiatives to drive business strategy.
- Experience in adapting People practices to local expectation while maintaining consistency with global policies.
- Experience in partnering with remote or distributed teams and develop trusting relationships with relevant stakeholder.
- Cultural intelligence and sensitivity to cultural norms, communication styles and workplace behaviours.
- Sound knowledge and experience working with HR systems and software.
- Ability to interpret people metrics to inform decisions.
- Updated knowledge of recruitment strategies and employment legislation.
- Excellent writing ability to present clear and equitable company policies.
- Demonstrated experience advising and leading projects and/or cultural change programs.
- Minimum 5 years' experience working in HR providing generalist partnering with a solid knowledge of People & Culture activities and deliverables.
- Must be able to work independently and escalate at appropriate time.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives concurrently.
- Willingness to travel regionally if required.
