Operations Support Specialist, Digital Investment Management

JOB PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE

  • The Operations Support Specialist will support and execute daily business transactions within the Operations unit of Digital Investment Management (DIM).
  • Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Operations Support Specialist is responsible for assisting the Head of Operations in achieving business objectives through a smooth back-end operations process while ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations and control standards.  The Operations Support Specialist must ensure that all business activities and reporting are attended in a timely manner by working closely with the Customer Service, Investment and Project teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Investment Operations Support (Fund Accounting)

  • Support and execute error-free execution procedures operationally
  • Support and ensure that the fund transfers to broker, withdrawal instructions from client are executed in a timely manner and as per SOP
  • Execute and ensure the monthly bank/trade reconciliations for all transactions are accurate and done on a timely manner
  • Support, execute and ensure the effectiveness, efficiencies, accuracy and completeness of daily business transactions undertaken by the units

Client Quality Service Support (client account management)

  • Support, ensure and execute timely turnaround time in handling clients' onboarding from clients and e-KYC process
  • In conjunction with client servicing teams, ensures all complaints are resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner
  • Support and ensure compliance with Statutory requirements, and agreed Service Level Agreement
  • Support and manage deliverables and timely implementation of initiative

Rules & regulations and compliance reporting requirements

  • Support, execute and ensure accuracy and completeness of details furnished to the Regulators
  • Support, execute and ensure the submission of monthly reporting to management and regulators is accurate
  • Ensure compliant with timeline and submission requirements determined by the Regulators
  • Support, execute and ensure up-to-date operation-related reports (i.e. e-KYC, management reporting, and etc.)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Posses a recognized Degree in Business Administration/Finance or other relevant discipline
  • 3-6 years relevant working experience in operation's environment, preferably in the stock broking, unit trust or financial services industry
  • Preferably in Asset Management Company will be added advantage
  • Experience and understand SC reporting requirement
  • Candidates who have passed any Securities Industry Development Corporation (SIDC) Licensing Examination module will have an added advantage
  • Capital Market Services Representative's License (CMSRL)
  • Sound knowledge of rules of Bursa Malaysia, SC guidelines, FEA rules, Anti Money Laundering laws.
