Job Opportunity: Winter Camp English Teacher (Junior Intensive English Program)

Location: Global Leaders Academy, Plaza Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur

Duration: January & February (2-month contract)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM

About the Role

Global Leaders Academy is seeking passionate and dedicated English teachers to join our Junior Intensive English Program (JIEP) for the Winter Camp. This program attracts young learners from various countries and focuses on building strong English foundations through engaging lessons, interactive activities, and cultural exposure.

This is a 2-month contract position with the opportunity to transition into a full-time teaching role based on performance and academy needs.

Responsibilities

  • Teach English to junior learners aged 6–14 following our structured Winter Camp curriculum
  • Prepare engaging lessons, activities, and worksheets
  • Monitor student progress and provide daily/weekly feedback
  • Maintain classroom discipline and ensure a fun, safe learning environment
  • Communicate with management regarding student performance or concerns
  • Participate in training, briefings, and teacher meetings

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (Education, TESOL, Linguistics, English, Early Childhood, or related field preferred)
  • Teaching experience with children (international or language centre experience is a bonus)
  • Strong command of English (native or near-native proficiency)
  • Passionate, energetic, and able to manage young learners
  • Punctual, responsible, and professional in classroom conduct

Job Type: Contract

Contract length: 2 months

Pay: RM2, RM3,000.00 per month
