Job Responsibilities

  • Assist and coordinate cybersecurity risk identification, assessment, and mitigation across the bank's environment.
  • Ensure the bank's cybersecurity risk practices comply with the BNM RMiT guidelines and requirements.
  • Monitor compliance with the Cybersecurity Act 2024 (Malaysia), ensuring the bank's obligations are met in areas such as incident reporting, critical infrastructure protection, and regulatory notifications.
  • Develop and maintain cybersecurity risk management policies, procedures, and frameworks aligned with ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and COBIT.
  • Serve as a point of contact for regulatory audits, inspections, and reporting related to cybersecurity risk and compliance.
  • Conduct regular cybersecurity risk assessments, IT project risk reviews, and third-party/vendor cybersecurity evaluations.
  • Participate in incident response and post-incident analysis to evaluate impact and risk exposure.
  • Assess cybersecurity risks of third-party vendors and ensure appropriate contractual and monitoring controls are in place.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, IT, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certifications such as CRISC, CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
  • 6–10 years' experience in cybersecurity, IT risk, or technology audit, preferably in banking or financial services.
  • Demonstrated experience in compliance with BNM RMiT and understanding of Cybersecurity Act 2024 (Malaysia).
  • In-depth understanding of cyber threats, risk frameworks, and financial regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Proficiency in GRC tools (e.g., RSA Archer, ServiceNow GRC) is an added advantage.
