DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct time and motion studies to optimize labour utilization, ergonomics, and workplace safety compliance.
  • Analyse and improve existing manufacturing workflows and processes using lean principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and data-driven techniques while ensuring adherence to safety and environmental standards.
  • Identify and implement process optimization opportunities, including automation, capacity planning, material handling improvements, and safety risk mitigation.
  • Design and implement production layouts and material flow plans with consideration for safe operating practices and emergency evacuation routes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Safety & Health (EHS), to identify and resolve production bottlenecks.
  • Develop and maintain production dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs), including safety and environmental metrics.
  • Manage Capital Expenditure (CapEx) projects, including budgeting, planning, and implementation, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and statutory regulations.
  • Lead relayout and process improvement projects from conception to completion while ensuring safe work procedures and risk assessments (HIRARC/JSA) are executed.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts through data analysis, problem-solving, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Assist in environmental and waste management-related activities such as scheduled waste segregation, chemical handling, and effluent system monitoring (if applicable).
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum Diploma or Degree in Engineering or Science field, or 2–4 years of relevant experience.
  • For Senior Engineer, minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Familiar with Manufacturing Processes and Safety & Environmental practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Able to interpret mechanical drawings.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks for layout and design work.
  • Familiar with ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949, RBA requirements, DOE/DOSH or other relevant Malaysian regulatory guidelines related to Safety & Industrial Engineering.
  • Possession of Environmental/Safety certifications such as CEPWSWAM, CEPIETSO, SHO, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
  • Mandarin literacy is an added advantage.
