Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Point of Contact (PIC) for the Club's cost and profit analysis.
  • Produce timely inventory and cost control management reports for discussion and decision-making.
  • Work closely with the F&B department and store to develop SOPs, analyze beverage costs, and identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
  • Oversee the Sport Section account ensure timely closing of the management account.
  • Manage cash flow for the Sport Section.
  • Assess inventory management processes and controls.
  • Supervise inventory counts.
  • Assess cost analysis processes and reports.
  • Oversee the tender process.
  • Prepare audit schedules for balance sheet and P&L items.
  • Assist in preparing monthly closing reports.
  • Review journal entries.
  • Assist with budget and project preparation.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, internal auditors, and bankers.
  • Monitor and analyze departmental operating costs to identify trends, variances, and areas for potential savings.
  • Review and verify supplier invoices, purchase requisitions, and cost allocations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct periodic cost variance analysis between actual and standard costs, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure accurate costing of food, beverage, and event-related items in coordination with the F&B and Finance teams.
  • Support management in developing and implementing cost control measures to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Complete ad hoc reports and assignments.

Requirements:

  1. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance or related discipline.
  2. Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or MIA membership is an added advantage.
  3. At least 5 years of costing experience, preferably in similar industry.
  4. Detailed with excellent problem-solving skills, critical thinking, able to multi-task, proactive and meet tight timeline.
  5. Good command of Microsoft Office applications.
  6. Possess strong sense of responsibility, integrity, able to work under pressure and result oriented.
  7. Positive attitude and strong teamwork orientation.
  8. Must be proficient in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
