Job Summary :

We are seeking a
highly skilled Senior
Power BI and Data Visualization Expert with deep experience in Microsoft Fabric, MicroStrategy, and enterprise data analytics. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality dashboards, reports, and visualizations that drive data-driven decision-making across the business.

You will play a pivotal role in our data transformation initiatives, working closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to turn complex data sets into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable, interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and MicroStrategy.
• Work with large, complex data sets within Microsoft Fabric, integrating data from multiple sources to deliver holistic insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
• Optimize and maintain existing BI solutions, ensuring performance, reliability, and data accuracy.
• Guide data modelling efforts to support self-service analytics and reporting.
• Establish and enforce BI governance standards, best practices, and documentation protocols.
• Stay current with new Power BI features, Microsoft Fabric advancements, and MicroStrategy capabilities, making strategic recommendations for adoption.
• Mentor junior BI developers and support knowledge sharing across the team.
• Peer review to ensure all use cases are in line with best practice, are customer centric and based on the APMEA South templates (which you may need to update and improve from time to time)

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in business intelligence, data visualization, or analytics roles.
• Expert-level proficiency in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, custom visuals, paginated reports).
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Dataflows Gen2, Lakehouses, Synapse Data Engineering/ Warehousing).
• Proficiency in MicroStrategy (dashboard/report creation, schema objects, cubes, performance tuning).
• Solid understanding of SQL, data modeling, and ETL processes.
• Experience with data governance, security, and role-based access in BI platforms.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft certifications in Power BI and Fabric.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and external data into BI platforms.
• Familiarity with Azure Data Platform (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks).
• Exposure to data science or predictive analytics tools (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
