Job Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled and certified Optometrist/Optician to join our team. This dual-role position involves providing expert eye care services, conducting vision tests, and offering personalized eyewear solutions, while also assisting customers in selecting and purchasing eyewear products. The ideal candidate will have a valid optometrist /optician certification, experience in eyewear sales, and a passion for customer service.

Job Scope

  • To perform eye tests on customers (objective & subjective refraction, etc).
  • To provide customers with professional consultation.
  • To prescribe and dispense prescription spectacles and contact lenses.
  • To be responsible for daily sales and operations.
  • To perform spectacles maintenance, adjustments and edging when needed.
  • To be responsible for daily shop cleanliness and inventory.
  • Other ad-hoc assignments when required.

Requirements

· Qualifications: Must hold a recognized optician certification (e.g., Opticianry Certification or Diploma in Optometry). or

· Qualifications: Valid optometrist certification (e.g., Bachelors in Optometry or equivalent certification) is required.

· Experience: Prior experience in a retail environment, preferably in eyewear or optometry, is an advantage.

· Strong knowledge of optical products, lenses, frames, and the latest trends in eyewear.

· Proficiency in conducting basic eye tests and using optical equipment.

· Ability to interpret and verify prescriptions accurately.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills for customer interaction.

· Basic knowledge of retail operations, including POS systems and inventory management.

· Proven sales experience with a focus on customer service and satisfaction.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
