Qualifications & experience

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years' experience in a Quality Assurance role in a similar field
  • At least a College/University Diploma / Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field
  • Must be able to follow up with management to ensure that products will be delivered on time and meet pre-determined deadlines
  • possess excellent problem-solving skills to identify potential causes of defects and to come up with corrective actions that will eliminate or reduce the risk of defects
  • Able to communicate in English effectively with the team members and other departments
  • Knowledgeable and must understand the basic concepts of quality assurance, such as quality control principles, methods, and systems
  • Experience in water purifiers, refrigerators, and air conditioning fields or similar fields would be an added advantage.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Inspecting output samples using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions, and examining functionality
  • Checking that the assembly or production line adheres to standards and procedures, and complying with legal requirements
  • Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing reworks and wastes, and inputting data into the quality database
  • handle new product licenses and certificates from FRIM, customs, Ecolabel Sirim, eComm, NPRA, and DSAM, and renew the licenses before the expiry date.
  • Monitoring and checking for abnormalities in products, out-of-specification requirements, and non-conformities. Developing quality control plans to eliminate existing or probable defects before production takes place.
  • Performing testing/inspections when required to verify that corrective actions are implemented effectively
  • Handle new product certificates for HALAL and consult with the Halal Executive and the development department for work preparation.
  • Responsible for the Product category (WP), conduct basic data analysis for monitoring trends in new products and AS
  • Manage supplier quality systems, including 8D reports, supplier penalties, supplier audits, supplier part warranties, and quality manuals
