Job Title:
Junior Cyber Security Analyst

Location:
Ara Damansara

Salary Range:
RM3,000 – RM6,000

Expected work activities:

1.Monitoring:

  • Continuous monitoring of security events using a SIEM platform.
  • Analyzing alerts to identify potential threats and false positives.

2.Incident Triage and Escalation:

  • Performing initial investigation and triage for identified security incidents.
  • Escalating complex incidents to L2 SOC tier or ENG teams.

3.Threat Detection:

  • Identifying and responding to suspicious activity or anomalies in network traffic and system behavior.
  • Developing familiarity with threat intelligence feeds to recognize and/or perform searches with indicators of compromise (IOCs).

4.Log Management:

  • Collecting, parsing, and correlating logs from various sources.
  • Ensuring proper log retention and assisting in compliance-related log reviews.

  • Work as a team to achieve business goals; willingness to share findings, ask for help, and contribute to a positive and cooperative team environment.
  • Proactive understanding of an incident's root causes and assess the potential impact.

Requirements

  • Diploma in a technical or IT-related field.
  • At least
    2 years of experience
    in a similar role (cyber security, SOC, or related).
  • Knowledge of common cyber technologies:
    SIEM, SOAR, XDR, Firewall, etc.
  • Strong understanding of cyber-attack methodologies (TTP, threat actors, malware campaigns).
  • Ability to conduct analysis, event correlation, and apply incident handling procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
