The opportunity

A leading furniture and home decor retailer is seeking a talented Retail Sales Executive / Sales Designer (Furniture) to join our team in Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Kuala Lumpur. In this full-time role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving sales growth for our premier furniture and lifestyle brand.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers in selecting the perfect furniture and home decor pieces to suit their needs and preferences
  • Demonstrate strong product knowledge to educate customers on the features, benefits and unique selling points of our furniture and home furnishings
  • Collaborate with the design team to create visually stunning in-store displays and design concepts to inspire customers
  • Achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets through consultative selling techniques
  • Maintain a pristine store environment and ensure all products are displayed and merchandised to the highest standard
  • Participate in regular product training sessions to continuously enhance your industry expertise
  • Contribute to the overall success of the store by supporting team members and upholding Commune's commitment to excellence

What we're looking for

  • At least 2 years of experience in a retail sales or customer service role, preferably within the furniture or home decor industry
  • A passion for interior design and a keen eye for style and aesthetics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with customers from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric mindset
  • Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both verbal and written
  • A positive, energetic and team-oriented attitude
