The Job:

  • Represent the company in overseeing procurement activities, ensuring full compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Act as the Risk Coordinator, ensuring effective coordination of risk-related activities and implementation of risk mitigation strategies.
  • Review and evaluate repair, upgrade and maintenance works carried out by contractors or in-house technicians, ensuring compliance with JKR/MS/BS or equivalent industry standards.
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive list of qualified vendors and suppliers, including conducting site visits to assess capabilities when required.
  • Oversee the supplier registration process, ensuring all documentation is accurate and meets internal governance standards.
  • Inspect building and structural conditions to identify and categorize types of defects.
  • Recommend practical and cost-effective solutions for civil and structural repairs.
  • Prepare initial cost estimates and develop project budgets to support procurement decisions.
  • Review technical specifications and ensure that all repair and maintenance work complies with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Identify potential risks related to procurement and propose effective mitigation strategies.

The Incumbent:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field (e.g., Civil Engineering, Construction Management).
  • Minimum 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience, particularly in procurement and pre/post-contract administration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; self-motivated, proactive and results-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
