A new manufacturing facility is being established in Senai Ipark, Johor Bahru, specializing in medical devices, injection molding, and precision engineering. Job Description:

1. Production Planning & Management:

  • Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of all production activities to meet company targets and customer demands.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to timelines.

2. Molding & Medical Plastics Expertise:

  • Utilize your expertise in molding to manage and optimize molding operations, ensuring the production of high-quality plastic products.
  • Apply knowledge of medical plastics to ensure products meet the rigorous standards required for medical applications.

3. ISO 13485 Compliance:

  • Ensure that all production processes comply with ISO 13485 standards, particularly for medical device manufacturing.
  • Implement and maintain quality management systems (QMS) in line with ISO 13485 requirements.

4. Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of production staff, including operators, technicians, and supervisors.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and quality within the production team.

5. Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to continuously upgrade production processes.

6. Quality Assurance:

  • Work closely with the quality team to ensure that all products meet or exceed quality standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with internal and external quality requirements.

7. Resource Management:

  • Manage resources effectively, including materials, equipment, and manpower, to maximize productivity.
  • Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure the timely availability of materials.

8. Reporting & Documentation:

  • Prepare and present regular production reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date production records, including process documentation and compliance reports

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in production management, with a strong background in molding within the plastic manufacturing industry.
  • Expertise in medical plastics is a significant advantage.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO standards and experience in implementing and maintaining compliant production processes.
  • Fluent in Mandarin, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in production management software and tools.
