Packer (Female)

Key responsibilities

• Packaging: Sorting, weighing, portioning, and packing food items into appropriate containers or packaging.
• Quality control: Inspecting products to ensure quality, checking for defects, and monitoring that packaged items meet standards.
• Labeling and sealing: Accurately labeling packages and sealing them to ensure proper identification and freshness.
• Food safety and sanitation: Maintaining a clean and sanitary work area and following all health and safety protocols to prevent contamination.
• Machinery operation: Operating and monitoring packaging machinery and equipment.
• Inventory and documentation: Keeping track of goods, filling out paperwork, and sometimes inserting necessary documents into shipments.

Essential skills and requirements

• Attention to detail: Crucial for tasks like quality control, labeling, and ensuring order accuracy.
• Physical stamina: Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks and sometimes work in cold environments.
• Understanding of food safety: Knowledge of and adherence to all food safety regulations and hygiene standards is essential.
• Ability to work in a team: Communicating with other team members to ensure efficiency and meet production goals.
