Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for detailed mechanical design and drafting work of IC sockets based on customer requirements.
• Create 2D or 3D data based on NBO from the Sales team using related CAD software.
• Liaise and work in close collaboration with the Sales team and Production to optimize the engineering design.
• Complete assigned projects on schedule under a demanding environment.
• Provide technical guidance, solutions, and customer service support from time to time.
• Conduct detailed accumulative tolerance analysis on design work.
• Generate and prepare detailed design drawings and Bills of Material within the project schedule.
• Prepare and upload completed drawings and data to the GEOS Meslink system.
• Ensure all registration of drawing numbers and codes follow company design standard rules.
• Work closely with machining suppliers or others on design issues to find good solutions from time to time.
• Apply modification drawings promptly when required.
• Verify customer package drawings with existing socket drawings.
• Ensure components and assemblies adhere to proper socket functionality.

Requirements:

• Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with a Bachelor's Degree, Professional Degree, or equivalent.
• Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD, SolidWorks, and MS Office.
• 2–3 years of experience in a mechanical design role.
• Possess a positive mindset.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Good communication skills in Japanese will be an added advantage.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge in using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
• Graduates from reputable Japanese universities are preferred.
