Job Description

  • Part of the project team to plan, manage and execute SEDA Feed-in-Tariff (FIT) Mini-Hydro run-of-river projects
  • Design Review of hydraulics, civil, mechanical and/or electrical components of a mini-hydro project
  • Technical and commercial evaluation of proposals/quotations of various equipment such as hydro turbine-generator, penstocks, electrical interconnection with the national grid, SCADA, etc .
  • Inspection of equipment including attending Factory Acceptance Tests.
  • Liaison and coordination works with external parties (authorities, consultants, suppliers and contractors) for the execution of projects.
  • Feasibility studies and conceptual design works for mini-hydro power plants.
  • To support with the establishment of the overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters.
  • Possible site assignment for construction and/or operations of the mini-hydro plants

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical)
  • Strong Interest in Renewable Energy, particularly Mini-Hydro.
  • At least 5 Year(s) working experience in the related industry.
  • Familiar with approvals & processes of Suruhanjaya Tenaga, Sustainability Energy Development Authority (SEDA) and other Federal/State government bodies dealing with mini-hydro projects
  • Good command of written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  • Good with Microsoft Office.
  • Good command of MS Project would be an added advantage.
