Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) with a dotted line to the Finance Director at Alcom HQ, the role is responsible:-

-    for the smooth day-to-day functioning of the Finance Department.

-    to ensure compliance with internal control policies and procedures, and to meet all internal and external reporting requirements.

Job Description

1)     Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly management accounts, financial reports and annual audited accounts.

2)     Analyse actual results against budget and identify cost reduction opportunities.

3)     Review all accounting functions including journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly closing activities.

4)     Verify all financial transactions.

5)     Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and strict adherence to internal control policies and procedures.

6)     Prepare tax computations, ensure timely compliance and assist with tax planning.

7)     Oversee treasury functions including cash management and cash flow forecasts.

8)     Liaise with bankers, auditors, tax agents, company secretary, lawyers and government regulatory bodies.

9)     Meet the deadlines for all the returns required by the relevant authorities.

10)  Prepare inputs and analysis for budget planning.

11)  Provide analytical support on the feasibility study of new projects.

12)  Supervise and motivate subordinates to enhance productivity and work commitment.

The Person :

1)     Possess a degree in Accounting/Finance or professional qualification such as ACCA/CPA or similar

2)     Preferable with experience in property development industry

3)     Familiar with bridge financing

4)     Knowledge in Environmental, Social and Governance compliance is added advantage

5)     Basic consolidation experience would be an advantageous

6)     Minimum 8 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years in a management level

7)     Familiar with computerized accounting system

8)     Possess and display high level of integrity

9)     Good command of English - written and oral

10)  Has a natural attention to detail and accuracy

11)  Energetic, insightful with strong influencing traits and a good team player

12)  Able to handle pressure and work independently

13)  Able to multi-task and prioritise
