Role Overview

As a Junior Art Director at INX, you will help shape the visual direction of campaigns, activations, and branded experiences across the region. Reporting to the Creative Director, you'll bring ideas to life from concept to execution, guiding artists and ensuring design consistency that aligns with client and brand objectives.

This is a remote-first role based in Malaysia, with occasional opportunities to collaborate in person (in Singapore or in any of our regional offices). The role suits someone who combines creative strength with the ability to guide others, and who is comfortable managing work with independence while staying closely connected to a cross-border team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive visual concepts for campaigns, activations, and events.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to artists to maintain high creative standards.
  • Collaborate with writers, strategists, and producers to build integrated storytelling.
  • Translate briefs into visually compelling concepts and executions.
  • Support pitches and proposals with decks, moodboards, and mockups.
  • Keep design output fresh by benchmarking against competitors and industry trends.
  • Contribute to INX's own marketing and brand design initiatives.

Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience in a creative/design role (agency or brand experience preferred).
  • A portfolio that shows both conceptual thinking and executional craft.
  • Strong grasp of design principles, typography, and colour theory.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); SketchUp/Premiere Pro a plus.
  • Able to manage time and priorities independently in a remote-first setup.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across borders.
  • Based in Kuala Lumpur / Greater Klang Valley for ease of collaboration.
  • Leadership potential — able to guide artists and uphold creative standards.
