Partnering with Farassan Manufacturing and Industrial Company, a leading GRP manufacturer, we offer FARATEC GRP pipe systems and related technologies. Our products include GRP piping systems, manholes, and FRP tanks. We provide project engineering consulting, supervisory services for installation and testing, and training services. Our FARATEC GRP pipe systems are approved in Malaysia for water and sewerage applications by SPAN.

Job Summary
:

The Senior Project Engineer (Civil) will lead and manage all civil and structural aspects of GRP pipeline and water infrastructure projects — from design development to project execution. This role requires strong technical expertise in pipeline systems, structural works, and site management. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and meet the required technical, safety, and quality standards.

As a registered Professional Engineer (Ir.), the incumbent will also play a key role in providing professional validation, design assurance, and mentoring junior engineers within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Engineering Design & Technical Coordination

• Lead the design and review of civil and structural components related to GRP pipeline, sewerage, and water treatment projects.

• Prepare and verify engineering calculations, layout drawings, and design specifications.

• Ensure compliance with relevant local and international standards (MS, BS, ACI, Eurocode, etc.).

• Coordinate with internal mechanical, piping, and electrical teams for integrated engineering solutions.

• Provide technical guidance and supervision to junior engineers and CAD personnel.

1. Project Management & Execution

• Plan, monitor, and manage project progress to ensure timely delivery, cost control, and adherence to specifications.

• Participate in project kick-off meetings, client discussions, and design reviews.

• Prepare and maintain project schedules, progress reports, and engineering documentation.

• Identify design and construction risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.

1. Site Implementation & Quality Control

• Conduct site inspections and ensure construction activities comply with approved designs and specifications.

• Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to resolve on-site technical issues.

• Review and approve method statements, material submittals, and shop drawings.

• Ensure all civil and structural works meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

1. Tender & Estimation Support

• Support tender preparation, including cost estimation, BOQ, and technical specifications.

• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor proposals for technical compliance.

• Provide input to improve design efficiency and optimize material usage.

1. Compliance & Professional Accountability

• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and engineering regulations.

• Uphold ethical engineering practices in line with BEM requirements.

• Provide engineering endorsement (Ir.) for technical documents and submissions.

• Promote value engineering and continuous improvement across projects.

Requirements
:

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.

Professional Qualification:

• Registered Professional Engineer (Ir.) with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) is required.

Experience:

• Minimum 8–12 years of relevant experience in civil, structural, and pipeline engineering within the water, wastewater, or infrastructure sectors.

• Proven experience in GRP, HDPE, or large-diameter pipeline projects is highly preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong technical understanding of pipeline and structural systems.

• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, or equivalent design tools.

• Excellent project planning, documentation, and coordination abilities.

• Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.

• Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
