We are seeking a capable and experienced
Well Test Engineer
to support detailed engineering and execution of high-rate well flowback and injectivity testing operations. This role covers end-to-end technical design, risk assessment, compliance assurance, and equipment planning. The ideal candidate will be actively involved in optimizing test design, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring HSE-compliant execution for offshore well test campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and review
    detailed engineering studies
    for surface well test and injectivity test operations (e.g., surface package design, safety systems, flare/heat modelling, subsea/MODU interface, sampling strategy)
  • Optimize test design for
    efficiency, safety, and schedule adherence
  • Draft well test/injectivity test
    programs, procedures, and HSE management plans
  • Participate in risk assessments and maintain the opportunity/risk register
  • Ensure all test design aligns with corporate and regulatory standards
  • Define required test equipment, services, and
    Long Lead Items (LLI)
  • Develop contract strategies and support procurement planning
  • Prepare and review
    technical specifications, scopes of work, and tender packages
  • Estimate
    duration and cost
    of well test activities for internal approvals (e.g., FID, AFEs)
  • Support regulatory submissions and secure permits/approvals on time
  • Provide interface support to subsurface, drilling, SURF, and HSE teams
  • Stay updated with new technology and global well testing best practices

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related Technical Science field (
    Master's preferred
    )
  • Minimum
    8-10 years of experience
    in Well Test Engineering & Operations in the Oil & Gas industry
  • At least
    3 years as a Well Test Supervisor
    (offshore preferred)
  • Strong experience in well test design and execution
    for offshore MODU environments
  • Familiar with global standards, safety systems, and operational best practices
