Section Manager Product Development Engineering

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee production issues (Yield/ Quality).
  • Oversee new product/test program/system transfer.
  • Oversee Assy OS / FTOS performance through data analytic and provide immediate corrective action and preventive actions.
  • Customer focus engineering ROLE
  • Collaborate directly with customers to understand problems and gather feedback.
  • Identify opportunities to improve key product/process KPIs.
  • Communicate customer insights to the internal engineering team to drive improvements.
  • Responsible for meeting cost, productivity, quality goals and tactical plans to support product roadmap.
  • Customer corrective actions.
  • Formulate plans & lead a team to achieve Section goals and objectives.
  • Train, develop and retain staff.
  • Plan and maximize available resources.
  • Manage the budget, resources and cost of the Section to ensure cost effectiveness in all its operations.
  • Lead and guide staff to achieve engineering/ technical solutions as well as maintain competitiveness.
  • Participate or lead in plant wide cross-functional activities.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or above, major in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics.
  • Excellent oral and written skills in English.
  • 8~12 years' work experience including 5~8 years' semiconductor industry experience in a high paced environment.
  • Wafer process and semiconductor knowledge.
  • Independent, resourceful and initiative.
  • Willing to support Bayan Lepas & Batu Kawan plant and travel to Batu Kawan plant when needed.
