About the role

As a Java Developer (Backend) at Beijing Hunktimes, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backend systems that power our innovative technology solutions. This is a full-time position based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where you will be working closely with our talented team to deliver high-quality software that drives the success of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

  1. Design and develop robust, scalable, and efficient backend systems using Java and other related technologies
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  3. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to best practices and industry standards
  4. Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure the quality and performance of our applications
  5. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the software development industry
  6. Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and infrastructure

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  2. Minimum 1 years of hands-on experience in Java development, preferably in a professional setting
  3. Strong proficiency in Java, including experience with popular frameworks and libraries such as Spring, Hibernate, and RESTful APIs
  4. Familiarity with database technologies, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
  5. Good understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
  6. Experience with version control systems, such as Git, and continuous integration/deployment tools
  7. ability to speak English & Mandarin are required
