Account Assistant is responsible for providing support to the accounting team by performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. This includes maintaining financial records, processing transactions, assisting with payroll, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and has a strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Double check account entries recorded in the system.
- Issue and verify sales invoices and payment vouchers.
- Double check supplier invoice tally.
- Follow up payment and confirmation of payment received.
- Record account transactions in company system.
- Perform any other ad hoc task assigned by superior.
- Verify and reconcile invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Prepare and issue invoices to clients and vendors.
- Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and invoices.
- Ensure all financial documents are accurately filed and easily accessible.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.
Job Requirements
- Diploma in Accounting/ Finance or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in the related field.
- Proficiency in bookkeeping programs and accounting software.
- High level of integrity and trustworthiness.
- Computer-literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping principles and double-entry.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA) are a plus but not always required.
