Job Description


• Discuss and assisting tech during crane maintenance services and focus on the assigned duties to ensure all the maintenance services carried out and executed according to crane manufacturing specifications as well as meeting the client's expectation


• Understand Petra Energy's HSE policy and HSE responsibility allocated to his position and level of supervision


• Set a personal example, by observing HSE regulations, especially by wearing appropriate protective clothing and equipment at all times, communicating HSE issues with supervisor, assisting in maintaining a blame-free cultures for HSE. Understand the worksite safety procedure to avoid any incident.


• Participate and actively involved in the HSE safety meetings, toolbox meetings, to make suggestion for HSE improvement by identification of proper trainings.


• Make sure that suitable personal protective equipment (ppe) are available before job starts


• Ensure the equipment and tools, both power and hand tools are maintained in good working condition and periodically inspected


• Perform monthly and yearly inspection for all crane mechanical and electrical parts and component base on checklist provided.


• Familiarize with all crane mechanical components and parts including the correct way to troubleshoot.


• Complete the task in safe manner and obtain the performance feedback from location.


• Understand the worksite safety procedure to avoid any incident.


• Work with valid permit.


• Maintain effective communication between the team members.


• Stop work when the working condition is unsafe.


• Vague instruction given.


• Ensuring working progress as targeted and meets the dateline with limited manpower.


• Do not familiar with the crane components and correct way to rectify it.


• Not enough tools to carry out the tasks.


• Salary received is not tally with the timesheet and claim sheet submitted.


• Maintain good relationship with client (end user), senior technician, & technical assistant.

  1. Possess SPM/SPMV/MLVK or equivalent preferably in Mechanical/Electrical

  2. Minimum 2 years of working experience in offshore pedestal crane and other lifting equipment's maintenance and operation in offshore oil and gas.
