What you'll be doing?
  • Lead operations: Oversee day-to-day activities across multiple departments, ensuring seamless coordination and operational excellence.
  • Drive financial success: Take ownership of the company's P&L, developing strategies to support long-term profitability and growth.
  • Build high-performing teams: Inspire and develop talent through effective recruitment, coaching, and succession planning.
  • Enhance agricultural practices: Collaborate with plantation teams to improve yield, quality control, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Manage infrastructure projects: Work closely with construction teams and stakeholders to plan and execute plantation-related projects.
  • Foster key relationships: Cultivate strong partnerships with suppliers, clients, government agencies, and industry partners.
  • Ensure compliance: Maintain adherence to all relevant regulations, including agricultural, labor, and environmental standards.
  • Drive innovation: Monitor industry trends and implement initiatives to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Report and advise: Deliver comprehensive operational and financial reports to the CEO, providing valuable insights for decision-making.
Who are they looking for?
  • Educational background: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Agriculture, Plantation Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Leadership experience: Proven track record in a senior operational or general management role, with experience in agriculture or durian plantation highly valued.
  • Diverse industry knowledge: Experience or knowledge in agriculture, construction, hospitality (Airbnb), or food service (cafe) is a plus.
  • Team leadership: Strong ability to inspire and manage cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Project management: Skilled in handling multiple projects simultaneously with excellence.
  • Financial acumen: Solid understanding of budget management and business planning.
  • Tech-savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and management systems.
  • Multilingual communicator: Strong communication skills in English, Malay, and Mandarin (both written and verbal) to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders and Mandarin-speaking clients.
  • Flexible location: Willingness to travel or be based on-site as needed.
