Manager, AI Engineer

As a Manager, AI Engineer, the incumbent will lead, strategize, and oversee the development and deployment of advanced analytics and AI solutions. This role involves setting the technical direction, managing a team of AI/ML engineers, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects, including those utilizing Generative AI models, to solve critical business problems and drive substantial value for clients. The incumbent is responsible for translating the company's AI vision into actionable technical roadmaps and maintaining operational excellence.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex business problems and enhance AI-driven applications.
2. Strategically develop, implement, and deploy complex machine learning and deep learning models and algorithms (including Generative AI) to solve major business problems and build scalable, production-ready AI applications.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and software engineers, to integrate AI solutions into existing products and services.
4. Establish and enforce best practices for data analysis, preprocessing, feature engineering, and model validation to ensure high-quality data input and optimal model performance.
5. Define the technical architecture for AI solutions, ensuring they are optimized for performance, scalability, efficiency, and robustness, leveraging cloud-based resources and distributed computing frameworks.
6. Drive the adoption of MLOps best practices and deployment pipelines, ensuring models are versioned, reproducible, monitored, and maintained in production environments.
7. Lead pre-sales efforts by identifying and qualifying strategic clients, assessing their complex data needs, and developing high-level architectural proposals for analytics and Generative AI solutions.
8. Translate complex technical features of AI/ML solutions into compelling, clear, and quantifiable business value propositions for senior client stakeholders.
9. Oversee the preparation and delivery of high-impact presentations, technical demonstrations, and detailed proposals/RFPs/RFQs, showcasing the company's advanced analytics capabilities. Contribute to preparing presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts to showcase the effectiveness and potential of our analytics solutions.
10. Act as the subject matter expert for the latest trends, research, and tools in AI/ML, setting the strategic direction for technology adoption within the department.
11. Actively participate in code reviews and collaborative problem-solving sessions, contributing to the improvement of AI solutions and development processes.
12. Assist in identifying and qualifying clients by analyzing their data needs, challenges, and opportunities for leveraging analytics solutions

Job Requirements:

1. Master's degree preferred, or a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
2. Strong interest in data analytics and its application in solving real-world business problems.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to bridge the gap between AI technology and C-level business impact.
5. 7+ years of progressive experience in AI, ML, or data science roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
6. Proven experience leading the entire lifecycle of multiple complex ML or deep learning models, from research to deployment.
7. Advanced proficiency in Python, major ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), and robust model evaluation/optimization techniques.
8. Expert-level familiarity with MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based AI service architectures (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, GCP AI Platform).
