About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced
Technical / Functional Tester
to join our client's team in Kuala Lumpur. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of financial software applications, particularly in large SAP upgrade and transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test financial software applications and provide detailed feedback.
  • Create and execute test plans, scripts, and confirm success criteria.
  • Prepare test data, execute test cases, and provide daily status updates to stakeholders.
  • Understand complex system architecture and develop corresponding test scripts.
  • Create traceability matrices to map requirements to test cases.
  • Participate in software design reviews and walkthroughs.
  • Collaborate with business and system analysts on test planning.
  • Identify, reproduce, and document issues accurately.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot defects and follow up with developers for resolution.
  • Review test scripts with SMEs and BAs, and conduct system walkthroughs for team members.
  • Gain a general overview of the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Create detailed system and integration test cases.
  • Analyze test results and provide test evidence and defect reports for audits.
  • Log and manage defects in tools and conduct defect triage meetings.
  • Escalate roadblocks as needed.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 4–7 years of experience in software testing.
  • 2+ years managing large SAP upgrade/transformation projects.
  • Expertise in designing test cases and scenarios from requirement documents.
  • Quick learner of complex integrated systems.
  • Experience with test management tools (Jira + XRAY, HPQC, etc.).
  • API testing experience.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Financial domain experience.
  • Experience testing SAP S/4HANA data migration and integration tests.
  • Knowledge of performance testing (JMeter), Agile processes, Robot Framework, and TestProject is an advantage.
