Job Duties:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad spectrum of legal documents, including non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), service agreements, and various commercial contracts, ensuring legal soundness and the protection of the company's interests.
  • Assist the Legal Counsel in managing legal matters related to regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and operational activities.
  • Conduct legal research and provide sound, practical advice on regulatory, commercial, contractual, and corporate governance matters to support internal stakeholders and business operations while ensuring alignment with statutory requirements and internal governance standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure legal risks are identified, communicated, and managed effectively.
  • Liaise with external legal counsel on specialized matters as required.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate potential legal, financial, and reputational risks through the implementation of sound legal strategies.
  • Stay abreast of relevant legislative and regulatory developments that may impact the company, and assess legal risks associated with business activities.
  • Maintain comprehensive and organized records of legal documents, agreements, and correspondence.
  • Any other duties as and when assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements:

  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent qualification from a reputable university and have been admitted to the Malaysian Bar.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of relevant working experience, preferably in a legal firm or in-house legal department; candidate with strong background in corporate or litigation will be prioritized.
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Able to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
