About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team at Core Builders Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur. As a full-time Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our construction projects, ensuring efficient cost control and contract administration.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare and analyse detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
  • Manage the procurement and tendering process, negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Monitor and control project costs, identifying opportunities for savings and cost-efficiencies
  • Prepare monthly valuations, progress reports and final accounts for clients
  • Provide expert advice on contractual matters and assist in dispute resolution
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with company policies and legal requirements

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and financial reporting
  • Proficient in using construction-specific software and data analysis tools
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with clients, contractors and suppliers
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and prioritise multiple tasks effectively
  • Commitment to adhering to safety regulations and quality standards
