About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Safety Coordinator / Site Safety Supervisor (SSS – Yellow Book) to join our team at Khalid Aluminium Sdn Bhd in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. As a full-time employee, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees on construction sites.

What you'll be doing

  • Implement and monitor safety policies, procedures and best practices on construction sites
  • Conduct regular site inspections and identify potential hazards, recommending appropriate corrective actions
  • Provide safety training and education to workers on site
  • Investigate and report on any accidents or incidents, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to safety activities
  • Collaborate with project managers and site teams to promote a strong safety culture

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Site Safety Supervisor or in a similar role within the construction industry
  • Possess a valid Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) Certificate (Yellow Book)
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations, hazard identification and risk management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with workers, site teams and management
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound safety-related decisions
  • Proficient in report writing and documentation
  • Proactive, detail-oriented and committed to promoting a safe work environment
