Project Coordinator

1) Job Summary:

Project Coordinator who shall be responsible for the day-to-day management of the project and to provide support services to the client in the form of planning, scheduling, providing technical advice on applications and maintenance of drilling tools.

2) Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining a current copy of the project and ensuring the team complies with all requirements of the project.
• Coordinating all required tasks and all aspects of the project and being the focal point for the assigned project.
• Ensuring all aspects of any operations (if required) are performed in accordance with the relevant standard operating procedures.
• Ensure all service requirements stipulated in the project are upheld. This will include monitoring and tracking of Key Performance Indicators (KPls), coordinating the supply of drilling tools from outside of Malaysia, resourcing, etc.
• Ensuring all personnel in project team (including all consultants) meet in-house training and competency requirements.
• Planning and forecasting rental tools requirement by continuously keeping abreast of client schedules and operations.
• Being the primary liaison project for call-off and use of project team's services as well as resolving any outstanding issues between client and project team.
• Being the focal point and liaison with client on all Safety, Security, Health, & Environment (SSHE) issues and ensuring that all project team personnel comply with client's QSSHE MS requirements.
• Managing the Safety and Quality management systems including establishing meaningful performance indicators, measuring performance, identification of areas of non-conformance, providing feedback on non-conformance and initiating the necessary corrective action.
• Maintaining smooth communications interface with client, other Service contractors and Work Site (Rig) Supervisor to ensure timely progress and performance of the requirements of the project.
• Being on call as directed by client during daily operations, which may involve attending daily operational meetings at client's office.
• Participating in the daily rig operation meeting and providing technical input on types of tools to be used and recommendations.
• Ensuring that all field personnel are informed of operations requirements.
• Monitoring the daily activities performed by project team (if any) and verifying all required data and/or report submittals are being provided.
• Making Location/ Work Site (Rig) visits to periodically monitor operations/regular audits.
• Ensuring certification and inspection results for all drilling tools that are delivered to client's Work Site(s) have been sent to client as required.
• Ensuring prompt and up-to-date daily/monthly/quarterly reporting.
• Providing regular update on 'expenditure to date' for the project to the client representative.
• Attends personal development training so as to be well-informed of all matters concerned with innovative solutions for client and actively pursuing all opportunities for continuous improvement in the overall performance of the Services provided.
• Identifies and works with client on additional challenges, problems and needs required by client
• Ensuring client and project team agreed recommendations for process improvements are implemented prior to the next similar operation.
• Routinely review the service quality with continuous follow up and update according to client's specific needs/ profiles, plans and problems.
• Participate and contribute to client organized meetings and workshops e.g. Drilling Well On Paper (DWOP).

3) Requirements & Qualifications

• Qualified in accordance with the internal training and competency requirements for the specific position.
• Knowledgeable with all aspects of drilling tools rental planning for both
• Deepwater and Shallow water wells for all types of rigs, fundamental concepts of drilling activities and tools planning, and good knowledge of tools and equipment for drilling activities.
• Knowledgeable with all of drilling tools and any other relevant resources.
• Capable of coordinating all required activities and shall possess strong analytical and technical skills.
• Fluent in English (i.e., speaking, reading, and writing).
• Computer literate.
• Proficient and knowledgeable with in house and client's QSSHE Management System.
• Has a minimum of 5 years' experience in relevant area.
• Able to be based in Kuala Lumpur/ Miri/ Kerteh/ Labuan as required.
• To have full support and access to local & regional drilling tool expertise.
