We're Hiring: Sound Designer (Full-Time, Onsite in Kuala Lumpur)

At Eagle Digital, we create premium visual content across multiple brands — from talking-head productions to ads, interviews, animations, and motion graphics. We're looking for a Sound Designer who specialises in shaping cinematic, high-quality audio that elevates every project.

You will work on a diverse range of sound tasks:

Cinematic audio for talking-head & interview videos

High-quality sound design for motion graphics & animations

Clean dialogue editing & noise-free audio enhancement

Dynamic soundscapes for branded content

Music editing, pacing, and emotional sound layering

Job Details

Location: YouCity 3, Kuala Lumpur (5-min walk from Taman Suntex MRT)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite

Salary: RM 4,000 – RM 5,500

Work Days: Monday – Friday

Working Hours: 9 AM – 7 PM

Accommodation: Rooms available for rent nearby

What You'll Do
Cinematic Audio for Video Productions
  • Set up microphones for talking-head, interview & podcast-style recordings
  • Capture clean, warm, broadcast-quality audio
  • Monitor recording levels to maintain consistent clarity
  • Support shoots requiring rich, studio-grade sound

Sound Design Across Multiple Project Types
  • Create cinematic SFX for motion graphics & animation projects
  • Build immersive audio layers that enhance emotion and storytelling
  • Craft soundscapes tailored to pacing, energy, and brand direction
  • Work on multiple audio styles — from minimal clean edits to dynamic cinematic mixes

Mixing & Mastering (High Quality Output)
  • Clean, edit, and process dialogue to a professional standard
  • Apply EQ, compression, noise reduction & mastering techniques
  • Mix multiple layers into a balanced, cinematic final output
  • Ensure deliveries meet platform standards for IG, TikTok, YouTube & Ads

Music Editing & Emotional Sound Layering
  • Source music that matches brand tone & emotional direction
  • Edit, time, and sync music precisely to visuals
  • Shape music dynamics with rises, dips, and transitions
  • Ensure proper licensing workflow is followed

Collaboration & Workflow
  • Work closely with videographers, editors, motion designers & creative directors
  • Interpret creative direction and apply sound that elevates the full production
  • Maintain audio equipment, software, and studio files
  • Help set high standards for audio across all Eagle Digital brands

Who We're Looking For
Required Experience
  • 2–5+ years in sound design, audio engineering, or related fields
  • Experience creating cinematic audio for video or animation
  • Strong understanding of microphones, acoustics & clean recording
  • Skilled in dialogue editing, mixing & audio enhancement
  • Ability to craft SFX and immersive sound layers

Technical Skills
  • Proficient in Adobe Audition / Pro Tools / Logic Pro / FL Studio
  • Strong knowledge of EQ, compression, noise reduction & mastering
  • Understanding of loudness standards for digital platforms
  • Familiar with audio gear, microphones & recorders

Bonus Advantage
  • Foley recording experience
  • Music composition or beat-making background
  • Basic video editing understanding (Premiere Pro / DaVinci)
