Application Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Application Specialist to join our team at Hi-Tech Instruments Sdn Bhd. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise to our customers in the chemistry and physics industries. The role is based in Bandar Bukit Puchong, Selangor.

What you'll be doing

• Providing technical support and troubleshooting for our range of instruments. Instruments SEM, FIB, TEM, Raman, O-PTIR, TOF-SIMS, X-Rays Tomography or SICM
• Conducting in-house or on-site training, workshop and demonstration
• Publishing and delivering oral lecture in local or overseas conferences
• Refining training syllabus, workshop contents or demonstration value propositions
• Analysing customer requirements and providing tailored solutions
• Maintaining detailed records of customer interactions and technical support provided
• Attending industry events and conferences to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies

What we're looking for

• Minimum tertiary requirement: Degree in Sciences, Engineering or equivalent. Candidates with MSc or PhD will have preferences
• 1 to 2 years relevant working experiences in advanced optics related to SEM, FIB, TEM, Raman, O-PTIR, TOF-SIMS, X-Rays Tomography or SICM will be an added advantage
• Fresh graduate is encouraged to apply as in-house training will be provided with hands-on actual instruments in our Application Refinement Laboratory
• Able to handle multitask and work independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and colleagues
• A problem-solving mindset and the ability to think creatively to provide customised solutions
• A keen interest in staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in scientific technology
