Job Description

The Test Manger is dedicated to ensuring that project/application meet the end user requirements and that all testing deliverables are fit for purpose. Test Manager will manage the full E2E Test Management life cycle of all the Functional Test Management deliverables. He or she will work closely with the Program/Project Manager to ensure that e2e test strategy applied throughout impacted applications are tested with high level of quality and are up to standards. This role is responsible for providing the effective management of test activities including standards and process development.

• Define and own the overall testing strategy, scope, and objectives for projects
• Ensure alignment of testing activities with business requirements and organizational goals
• Use Test estimation framework and tools to arrive at sound estimates
• Act as the primary point of contact for testing progress, risks, and deliverables
• Provide clear reporting to project managers, business owners, and audit/compliance teams
• Accountable for leading, mentoring, and managing the QA team, ensuring they have the necessary resources (personnel, tools, infrastructure) and that tasks are assigned efficiently to meet deadlines
• Accountable for identifying potential quality risks early and developing mitigation strategies. They oversee the defect management process, prioritizing resolution and working with development teams to ensure timely fixes.
• Ensure testing processes meet regulatory, audit, and company and industry standards
• Maintain documentation and evidence for quality assurance and compliance reviews
• Prepare testing progress report.
• Ensure necessary documentations are ready and comply with QM, audit purpose
• Provide daily/weekly defect reports to stakeholders, highlighting blockers and risks
• Deliver clear, timely reports on test execution progress, coverage, and milestone achievement
• Respond to queries from Quality Management (QM) and compliance teams with documented proof
• Identify process gaps and recommend improvements. Share lessons learned and best practices with peers and teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Project Management, Finance, Banking, MIS, IT or equivalent experience
• 6 - 9 years' extensive experience as a Test Manager or Test Lead in a reputed organization with experience in managing test projects
• Solid understanding of test project delivery and acceptance processes in a fast-paced business environment.
• A strong understanding of testing and automation technologies from both a technical and business perspective, specifically writing Test Plans, Test specifications and Test Reports
• Experience in Banking industry

• Banking domain and products knowledge
• Strong experience in analyzing requirement by providing Test Estimation aligned with test strategy or good understanding and experiences in estimation techniques for testing
• Ability to design test strategy, drive Test Planning and Design, Test Management, RCA (Root Cause Analysis), Defect Management, Reporting Test Results & Metric Measurement
• Familiar with Testing Process, Methodology (i.e: Waterfall, Agile) and Techniques
• Strong team management skill in medium scale of team size 5 – 10 testers
• Allocate resources effectively across projects & assignments, balancing workload and priorities
• Adaptability to handle unexpected issues and re plan test execution when needed
• Manage risks proactively and ensure mitigation strategies are in place
• Ability to analyze complex systems flow and identify potential risks
• General ability to use a personal computer with familiarity in business applications such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Outlook
• Familiar to use of test management tools, defect tracking systems (E2E to establish traceability) and version control systems
• Familiarity with industry tools for automation (i.e: Selenium, Open Text, Katalon)
• Good knowledge specific to banking industry, i.e: CARDS domain
• Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as proven ability to conduct presentations.
