About the role
VROC is seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior Business Development Manager to lead and grow VROC's market presence in Malaysia and Indonesian regions. This is a key, client-facing role focused on building strategic partnerships, expanding our client portfolio, and driving new business growth.
You will work closely with our partners in the region as well as our broader team of SMEs to drive and secure new opportunities that align with our company's go-to-market activity and growth strategy.
This position is based in Kuala Lumpur and will report directly to the VP of Gloabal Sales.
What you'll be doing
- Proactively prospect, qualify, and convert new business opportunities to drive growth in strategic accounts.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders to grow existing key accounts.
- Help develop and execute the go-to-market strategy to close new deals and expand VROC's footprint in the Oil and Gas, energy, and other industrial sectors in the region.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with the sales, marketing, and delivery teams to ensure successful client onboarding and retention.
- Accurately forecast sales pipeline and revenue, and report on key performance metrics.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and client needs to identify new business opportunities.
What we're looking for
- A proven deal-closer with minimum 15 years of experience in business development and enterprise sales, with a strong focus on Oil and Gas and/or industrial sectors.
- Strategic thinker, with a hunter mindset and a history of securing and growing complex, high-value enterprise accounts.
- Established network within Malaysia's and/or Indonesia's energy and industrial ecosystem with a proven track record of successfuly closing sales and meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Commercially astute, with deep experience in structuring strategic, multi-stakeholder deals that drive long-term value across asset-intensive sectors.
- A self-starter with excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Bachelor's Degree in business, or related field with demonstrated experience in Asset Performance Management, AI/ML, and IoT solutions is highly regarded.
- Malaysian citizen or permanent resident only.
