About the role
Invictus International School, Horizon Hills, Johor, is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Humanities Teacher to join their dynamic team in January 2026. As a full-time educator, you will play a pivotal role in delivering engaging and enriching lessons to secondary school students in an international setting.
What you'll be doing
- Planning and delivering high-quality Humanities lessons, including subjects such as Geography, History, and Social Studies
- Implementing the school's curriculum and ensuring students achieve learning objectives
- Utilising a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to different learning styles
- Providing individualised support and guidance to students to help them reach their full potential
- Actively participating in extracurricular activities and contributing to the broader school community
- Continuously evaluating and improving teaching practices to enhance student learning
- Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the development of the department
What we're looking for
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant Humanities subject or a teaching certification
- At least 3 years of teaching experience in a secondary school setting, preferably in an international context (IGCSE)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students and foster a positive learning environment
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively
- A passion for education and a commitment to continuous professional development
- Proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching and learning
- Fluency in English; proficiency in other languages is an advantage
