Learn more at About the Role:Sitecore is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Data Engineering to lead our data engineering initiatives across cloud platforms. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and developing two high-performing teams: one focused on cloud vendor cost data, and the other on product usage data. This is a critical leadership role, responsible for driving data strategy, optimising cloud data solutions, and ensuring the delivery of actionable insights to support business decisions.What You'll Do:Lead, mentor, and manage two specialised data engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of data solutions on Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.Drive initiatives to optimise the collection, processing, and analysis of cloud vendor cost data and product usage data.Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including product, finance, and IT teams, to develop and execute data strategies aligned with organisational goals.Establish and enforce best practices for data governance, quality, and compliance across all data engineering projects.Identify and implement opportunities for automation and process improvement within the data engineering lifecycle.Provide technical leadership and guidance on the adoption of new data technologies and methodologies.Monitor and manage team performance, setting clear objectives and ensuring accountability for deliverables.What You Need to Succeed:Proven experience in data engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.Deep expertise in Azure cloud services, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure Databricks or similar technologies.Experience with large-scale data processing, ETL pipelines, and data warehousing solutions.Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects and teams simultaneously.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.Experience with data governance, security, and compliance requirements in a cloud environment.Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Additional Skills That Could Set You Apart:Experience working in SaaS or enterprise software environments.Knowledge of data visualisation and business intelligence tools.Understanding of agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
