The Free Industrial Zone, Penang, Companies' Association (FREPENCA) was registered in 1978 with a mission to enhance communications among its members and with the government, and to promote community welfare and cultural activities. The association includes top names in the automotive component, semiconductor, and medical devices sectors.

FREPENCA (Free Industrial Zone Penang Companies' Association) has an opening for the post of
Executive/Sr. Executive, Communications
. This position supports the implementation of internal and external communication activities and contributes to the management of FREPENCA's digital and social media presence.

Job responsibilities

  • Write, edit and produce communication content (print, online, social media) for internal and external audience.
  • Maintain and regularly update FREPENCA's website, content repository and data storage.
  • Establish a quarterly Newsletter for FREPENCA and distribute among members and in social media platforms.
  • Assist the FREPENCA Committee in all kinds of communication and organization, internally and externally.
  • Prepare content and written materials for social media and digital assets, ensuring accuracy, consistency and alignment with FREPENCA's image and brand reputation.
  • Ensure timely publication of FREPENCA news, announcements, and event updates across all digital platforms.
  • Support in the organisation of events such as convenor meetings, CEO Networks, AGMs, and committee meetings.
  • Gain exposure and networking opportunities with industry leaders, government agencies, and authorities in Penang.

Job requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in Corporate Communications or content management roles. Fresh Graduates with strong writing and digital skills are encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Malay, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, etc.) and familiar with social media and digital content tools (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook)
