About the role

As a NQAC Lab Technician Grade 2 (Microbiology Lab) at Nestlé Malaysia, you will be responsible for performing essential laboratory tests and analyses to ensure the quality and safety of Nestlé's products. This full-time position is based in Shah Alam, Selangor, and is crucial in upholding Nestlé's high standards of food quality and compliance.

What you'll be doing

  1. Conducting various microbiological tests and analyses on food and beverage samples
  2. Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment and instruments with precision
  3. Documenting and recording test results accurately in accordance with standard operating procedures
  4. Participating in the development and implementation of new testing methods and protocols
  5. Ensuring the lab environment is clean, organised and compliant with safety regulations
  6. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve quality issues
  7. Providing technical support and training to other lab staff as needed

What we're looking for

  1. Diploma or degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or a related scientific discipline
  2. Minimum 2 years of experience working in a similar laboratory setting
  3. Proficient in operating laboratory equipment and instrumentation such as microscopes, autoclaves, and analytical instruments
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  5. Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues
  6. Ability to work independently and follow standard operating procedures
  7. Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality management systems
