Production Manager/Operations Manager

Operations Manager Job Scope

·       Develop and implement operations strategies to achieve production, quality, and delivery targets

·       Translate business goals into actionable plans for manufacturing, logistics, and resource management

·       Lead and manage capacity planning, factory layout optimisation, and capital investment projects

·       Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to specifications

·       Conduct periodic audits on the various departments

·       Monitor production KPIs (output, yield, downtime, efficiency) and drive corrective actions

·       Manage and ensure Production and Engineering collaborate to ensure seamless NPI

·       Manage procurement, inventory control, and logistics to support smooth material flow

·       Work closely with Supply Chain and Sales to optimise Company's performance and minimise lead time

·       Oversee and manage all cost control measures

·       Ensure all operations comply with ISO, UL, and any other regulatory standards

·       Ensure QA maintains quality, high product reliability, and customer satisfaction

·       Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for process and quality issues

·       Champion Lean Manufacturing, 5S and other continuous improvement activities to enhance productivity and reduce waste

·       Identify automation and digitalisation opportunities to improve efficiency

·       Drive data-driven decision-makings and implement KPI dashboards for performance tracking

·       Lead and develop cross-functional teams across Production, Planning, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance

·       Promote a culture of accountability, safety, efficiency, effectiveness, and continuous improvements

·       Identify next batch of leaders for the Company

·       Groom and coach department managers to achieve individual and team performance objectives

·       Develop and manage operational budget, including labour, material, and overhead expenses

·       Monitor financial performance of factory and implement cost reduction without compromising quality

Trait, Skills and Qualifications:

·       Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or any other related disciplines

· to 15 years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in electronics manufacturing

·       Proven track record in managing cross-functional tams and large-scale production environment

·       Excellent analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills

·       Excellent foresight and management

·       Experience with ERP systems, Lean methodologies, and modern manufacturing technologies

·       Excellent communication (in English language as well) and stakeholder management abilities

Production Manager Job Scope

·       Plan, organise, and oversee daily production activities to meet delivery schedules and production targets

·       Ensure adherence to SOP, workflow, PI, PMP, quality, safety, and environmental standards

·       Monitor and consistently improve production output, yield, efficiency, and downtime

·       Take immediate corrective actions when targets are not met

·       Lead, train, and motivate production supervisors, line leaders and operators

·       Conduct performance evaluation and implement workforce development and improvement programs

·       Identify next batch of leaders for the Company

·       Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement

·       Review and optimise manufacturing processes to enhance productivity

·       Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S and other continuous improvement activities

·       Collaborate with engineering teams to support NPI and process validation

·       Work closely with Quality Assurance to maintain product quality and minimise defects/reworks

·       Ensure compliance with ISO standards, EHS policies and other regulatory requirements

·       Manage manpower allocation, materials availability, and equipment readiness to ensure smooth operations

·       Coordinate with Supply Chain and Maintenance for material flow and machine maintenance schedules

·       Prepare and present production reports, key performance indicators, and improvement plans to Management

·       Control operational cost and contribute to cost-reduction initiatives

Trait, Skills and Qualifications:

·       Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or any other related discipline

·       At least 5 years of experience in production management, preferably in electronics

·       Have exposure to Industry 4.0

·       Strong leadership and communication skills

·       Proficient in English language and ERP systems

·       Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organisational abilities

·       Good knowledge on electronics manufacturing processes

·       Preferably possess international exposure
