The role of this position combines quantity surveying responsibilities with procurement duties, like reviewing construction plans, preparing quantity requirements, purchasing equipment, and managing contracts and costs.

Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts for projects.
  • Measure and value on-site work to manage progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
  • Review and ensure contract documents comply with project specifications and standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams to implement effective cost control measures.
  • Identify, source, and negotiate contracts with reliable suppliers and subcontractors for materials, equipment, and services.
  • Prepare purchase orders, monitor deliveries, and ensure timely procurement aligned with project schedules.
  • Track market trends and price fluctuations to optimize costs while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

What we're looking for

  • 3-5 years' experience in contract administration or management within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts and related legal principles.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • We are looking for someone who are fluent in Mandarin as the role requires the candidate to deal with Mandarin speaking clients.
  • Proficient in contract review, drafting, and interpretation with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards.
