JOB DESCRIPTION (MANAGER – TRANSFER PRICING)


1. Job Scope

Administrative Matters

• Maintain/ update Client Tracker, allocate work to team and review invoices.

• Mentor, coach and evaluate staff; conduct internal training and support workshops.

• Ensure TP procedures, documentation and filing standards are consistently followed.

TP Assignments (Documentation & Comparable Studies)

• Lead proposals, client onboarding and fee scoping discussions.

• Drive FAR analysis, client interviews (local & occasionally regional) and review comparable searches.

• Review TP Documentation / Comparable Study Reports and research findings.

• Manage timelines, clear review points and ensure deliverables are complete and accurate.

TP Advisory (including TP audit support)

• Draft/review TP advisory, technical analysis and research conclusions.

• Liaise with IRB on TP audit/investigation matters.

• Ensure deadlines are met and deliverables sent to client are complete and compliant.

Other Tax Work

• Support corporate tax compliance and advisory when required.

Training

• Attend relevant training and conduct knowledge sharing/ training sessions for staff.

Team Guidance & Supervision

• Provide clear job set-up instructions, technical direction and methodology guidance.

• Monitor progress, ensure efficiency, and support resolution of blockers.


2. Business Development & Technical Development


• Conduct meetings with clients and authorities independently.

• Identify new opportunities within existing client portfolio and potential targets.

• Contribute to thought leadership (articles, seminars, workshops) and stay updated on TP developments.


3. Qualifications / Experience


• Degree in Finance/ Accounting or Professional Qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CPA/CIA) or equivalent.

• Minimum 5 years relevant experience.

• Strong understanding of Malaysian TP Rules, Guidelines, OECD TP Guidelines, Income Tax Act and global TP trends.
