Key Responsibilities:


•
Prepare and review Bill of Quantities (BQ), cost estimates, tender documentation, and

specifications.


•
Evaluate and recommend tenders and/or quotations.


•
Participate in feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, labour costs and risk

assessments.


•
Prepare rate analysis for works.


•
Monitor project cost and commercial performance.


•
Prepare progress claims, interim valuations, final accounts, and variation orders (VO).


•
Evaluate subcontractor claims and payment certifications.


•
Liaise with consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors for project coordination.


•
Conduct site visits and measurements to verify actual progress and quantities.


•
Maintain accurate and updated project cost data and documentation.


•
Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.


•
Draft and review contractual correspondence and notifications.


•
Assist in resolving contractual disputes or issues.


•
Source and evaluate subcontractors and suppliers.


•
Negotiate rates and terms with vendors.


•
Prepare cost control reports, cash flow forecasts, and project budget monitoring.


•
Present monthly cost reports to management.

Qualifications and Experience:


• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.


• Minimum 6 years of working experience in quantity surveying, preferably in

construction/infrastructure projects.


• Strong knowledge of pre- and post-contract works.


• Familiar with standard forms of contracts (e.g., PAM, CIDB, JKR, FIDIC).


• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and QS software (e.g., CostX, Glodon).


• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.


• Attention to detail and accuracy.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.


• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
