Interpreter – Mandarin Speaker

Location: Tech Mahindra, Cyberjaya Project: Healthcare

Contract Details
  • Initial: 2 months + renewable 12-month contract
  • Full-time, office-based (Monday–Friday)
  • Rotational shifts with allowances
  • Salary: RM 4000 – 5000 basic + allowances (total package RM 5000+)
  • Transportation allowance: RM 500/month (pro-rated)
Shift Allowances
  1. 10PM – 7AM: RM 25/night
  2. 6AM – 3PM: RM 20/day
  3. 3PM – 12AM: RM 20/day

Roles:

·       Provides meaning-for-meaning interpreting.

·       Follows interpreter protocols as per training, policies, and procedures.

·       Follows all policies and procedures related to information confidentiality and interpreter ethics.

·       Attends all required training.

Required Skills:

  • Fluency in Mandarin & English
  • Skilled at communicating, both orally and in writing in Mandarin & English
  • Basic understanding of linguistics and different cultures.
  • Skilled in adjusting to rapidly changing circumstances.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

Responsibility:

  • Provides meaning-for-meaning interpreting.
  • Follows interpreter protocols as per training, policies, and procedures.
  • Follows all policies and procedures related to information confidentiality and interpreter ethics.
  • Attends all required training.

  • Dental (Tooth extraction and filling) up to 500 USD per year (for each individual), for self, spouse & children – Claimable after completion of 90 days
  • Dental (Scaling) up to USD 50 per year (for each individual), for self, spouse & children – Claimable after completion of 90 days
  • Annual Leave 10 days for first 2 years, 12 days after completion of 2 years (prorated).
  • Medical Leave as per Labor law - 14 days.
  • Bereavement leaves – 3 working days in an event of death in the immediate family (Spouse, Children, parents).
  • Maternity Leave – for 98 consecutive days for female associate. To start not earlier than 30 days from the expected due date, or post the due date.
  • Paternity leaves – 7 days
