Job Summary

The Event & Production Manager is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of events, activations, and production builds from concept to completion. This role combines creative event management and hands-on production supervision, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Event Management

  • Plan, organize, and execute events, campaigns, and activations from ideation to post-event evaluation.
  • Develop event concepts, proposals, and budgets in line with client or company objectives.
  • Coordinate venue sourcing, logistics, manpower, and scheduling.
  • Manage on-ground operations during setup, show day, and dismantling to ensure smooth execution.

Production & Technical Oversight

  • Oversee all technical and physical production elements, including stage design, fabrication, lighting, audio-visual, and structural setup.
  • Work closely with creative, design, and technical teams to turn ideas into executable builds.
  • Manage suppliers, contractors, and production crews to ensure quality, safety, and timely delivery.
  • Conduct site recce, risk assessments, and technical checks prior to event execution.
  • Ensure all production work aligns with brand guidelines, safety standards, and event requirements.

Budget & Administration

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and production schedules.
  • Monitor project expenditure and ensure all costs stay within approved limits.
  • Negotiate with vendors and contractors for best pricing without compromising quality.
  • Maintain project documentation, contracts, and closure reports.

Client & Team Coordination

  • Serve as the main point of contact between clients, suppliers, and internal departments.
  • Lead briefings and debrief sessions with creative, design, and logistics teams.
  • Provide clear direction and supervision to event crew and production staff on-site.
  • Manage client expectations and provide regular updates throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Preferred Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Event Management, Marketing, Mass Communication, or related field.
  • Minimum 3-6 years of experience in event management and production (agency or brand environment preferred).
  • Proven experience managing large-scale events, exhibitions, or brand activations.
  • Strong understanding of staging, lighting, AV, and technical production processes.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and event/project management tools.
  • Willing to travel and work irregular hours, including weekends or public holidays when required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM4, RM6,000.00 per month
