About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Tropicana Golf & Country Resort as the Manager of Events & Promotions. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for planning and executing engaging events, promotions, and activities that drive brand awareness and customer engagement. As a full-time position, you will be based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor and play a key strategic role in shaping the resort's marketing and communication efforts.

What you'll be doing

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive events and promotions strategy that aligns with the resort's overall marketing objectives.
  2. Manage the end-to-end planning and delivery of a diverse range of events, including corporate functions, product launches, social gatherings, and community initiatives
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams/department to conceptualise and bring to life innovative event concepts and activations
  4. Manage and plan design materials in line with corporate identity.
  5. Monitor and analyse event performance, providing recommendations to optimise future initiatives
  6. Develop and execute social media strategies to promote upcoming events on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), and TikTok.
  7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key industry partners, media, and stakeholders
  8. Develope and manage events budget.

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 5 years of experience in event management or a related field within the hospitality or marketing industry
  2. Excellent project management, problem-solving, and multitasking skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  4. Proficient in event technology and tools, with a keen eye for detail and creative flair
  5. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality Management, or a related field
