Job Scope

  • Review and approve payments prepared by subordinates, promptly addressing queries and resolving payment-related issues.
  • Manage the month-end closing process, ensuring timely preparation of monthly balance sheet schedules.
  • Analyse financial data to identify discrepancies, collaborating with relevant teams to resolve issues effectively.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, working closely with other departments to gather and validate financial information.
  • Develop, manage, and prepare annual budgets; monitor budget performance; and conduct variance analysis by comparing actual results against budgeted figures.
  • Assist in preparing forex reports and daily positions, identifying discrepancies or inconsistencies for timely resolution.
  • Lead the preparation for annual audits, statutory filings, and tax submissions, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the key liaison with external stakeholders including auditors, tax agents, bankers, and other relevant parties.
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects or additional assignments as required by the Senior Finance Manager or Deputy CFO.

Requirement

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance or Accountancy. Candidate who possess ACCA / CIMA / MIA would be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in financial reporting with a proven track record in process improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables).
  • Excellent attention to detail, reconciliation skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Capable of working under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
